Microsoft Word

In 2015 in first year and first semester, we learned a module called “FIT” in which we were exposed to many new things. From all the topics we were taught, I would like to share my understanding on “Microsoft word”.
In microsoft word, we can do so many little and effective things such as follows:
ü  Insert of pictures
ü  Use of diagrams
ü  Tables
ü  Charts
ü  Smart art etc
The above mentioned features will all enhance our learning and will obviously help us in better teaching in our near future as a teacher.
Microsoft word has made our job easy. Like before in olden days when there was no computer people use to write applications and letters using hand which is quit hard when we think now. But now it has become much easier.
It is hard to design 100 cards for 100 people so with the help of “Mail merge” where we can write all the names and then it will automatically print 100 cards which is quite effective, convenient and saved lot of time. So after designing the wedding card, I attached 5 of my friends which were very easy.

We can also use MS word to design birthday card, wedding cards and other invitation cards with images, different font styles and colors.
Similarly we were asked to design a wedding card as linked below.

We can also use tables just liked I used in noting the subject marks of Tenzin Wangmo in tables. Table helps in making the information look more precise and summarized.

Here in college we have lots of assignments to write where we use Microsoft word to write. One interesting thing I found is it has grammar and syntax which is worth using in terms of checking the spellings and focusing on punctuation. Spelling check feature in Microsoft word helps us to correct the spellings in our documents. We can also fix the punctuation errors as well. Even the lecturers use MS Word to correct our assignment by highlighting, underlining and by giving comment.
So in the document linked below, I corrected one document written by one of my classmate as an activity in the class.
